Members of the Chicago Photography Collective gearing up for a new show called “Go Do Good” in their PopUp Art Loop Gallery in Block 37 on State Street. I love taking pictures while riding the bus going to the gallery or coming from the gallery where I volunteer. People are wonderful. These pictures were taken during the last three weeks of riding the bus.
… and an incredible ride in a limousine afterward.
… because I saw myself in a vanity mirror and took a picture.
There’s a nice little park in my neighborhood situated among the high rises along the main thoroughfare that runs along Lake Michigan. Only a few people know about this park. There is a walk right along the lake, a few benches scattered about, a children’s playground, a little cove of a beach, a former mansion [...]
… but I am finding myself patronizing Starbucks every time I am in downtown. Arrgh. I can’t get resist their coconut mocha Frappucino. The Starbucks in question is the one on the corner of Washington and Wabash, just one block off Michigan Ave. They have an outdoor sitting which I kind of like. After spending [...]
Earlier today, about 30 same sex couples held public civil union ceremonies under the law that took effect yesterday. Charlie is one of the walk leaders of the Scott Kelby Annual Worldwide Photowalk in Chicago. You can find more of his work on his website, Blueberry Winter Photography. The show goes on [...]

The father first took the picture of his family, most probably with his in-laws, then asked a passer by to take their picture. Just a slice of life at Chicago’s Millennium Park AT&T Plaza where Anish Kapoor’s Cloud Gate (the Bean) is located. Now that I am in downtown most of the week, I find [...]
There are lots of foreign tourists roaming the streets of Chicago these days. They are constantly amazed how beautiful our city is. Shot this on my way to the gallery. I don’t even know what they were photographing. I looked, it was this – Have no idea what’s so special about it.
Really spectacular fog covering most of downtown … all taken with my iPhone.
I’m there Taken at the same day with my iPhone.
Opening night … eighty eight people came in for the FIRST hour. About 200 altogether for three hours ! And to think there was no wine! Photos taken with my iPhone 3Gs
While others were hanging frames and painting walls, he chose to photograph me, while I was photographing him … Members of the Chicago Photography Collective preparing for an exhibit called, “Elsewhere,” featuring the works of Jon Randolph and Peter Ha. The exhibit is opening on May 5 at the Collective’s new pop up art loop [...]
