I tailed a friend for a wedding shoot – I was supposed to shoot candids and closeups. In this particular photo, I was trying to catch the bride’s face in the mirror — I didn’t realize, I also took a picture of me!
More pictures of the wedding with photographers in some of the pictures … some were deliberate, but a few aren’t.
I’m not the first to say so, but that church photo is great!
Definitely a great setting shot for the album.
Nice interior shot of the church! Looks like the windows really helped bring some light in what could have been a typical dark church setting.
Nice photos. I’m especially fond of 6/7 in the church. Would be interesting to compare your set with what the ‘first shooter’ got.
Good to hear that you’re getting lead photographer gigs now.
I’m in the process of setting up (as you can probably tell from the name) a family photo business, but wedding photo is next. Always interesting to find out how different people got their foot in the industry door.

Yes and no. I started as a second shooter but now, I am doing stuff on my own. But I usually ask a more experienced individual to come with me – we split the fee – and ask him or her to do the formal shots.
Are you doing the “second shooter” thing as a way of getting into the wedding photography industry?
Steven
Lovely set of photos I bet the couple are very happy.
Thanks for sharing.
P.S. The colour tone is really nice!
Nice mood in these wedding photos!
