Members of the Chicago Photography Collective (Ron Gordon, Paul Natkin, Damon Shell and your truly) giving a lecture to photography students of Columbia College faculty member, Gina Grillo at the Collective’s gallery inside Block 37 on State St. in downtown Chicago.
Mentoring up and coming photographers is one of the many activities that the is trying to jumpstart this year.
It is great to start the year with handing down your knowledge and experience. I, personally, wouldn’t have posted the pictures where the exposure was too long, and the blurry one, but at the same time I think it presents well the amateurism of photographers with no experience. The photos on the walls look great, at least from what I could tell from these pictures. Collective Galleries are my favorite places to go to when I have extra time to spend downtown.
Have a great year! Rob
