Luminous Field

Luminous Field is a new interactive video and sound installation by the Luftwerk ensemble at Chicago’s Millennium Park. This incredibly bold and innovative light show transforms Anish Kapoor’s Cloud Gate and the surrounding AT&T plaza into a wondrous canvas of digital images of geometrical forms in motion, in wild neon colors. The project comes from the fertile minds of Luftwerk, an ensemble composed of visual artists, Petra Bachmaier and Sean Gallero. The work is set to music composed by Owen Clayton Condon of the avant-garde Third Coast Percussion.

Wow, this is amazing. I have been to Chicago and of course seen the bean, but this is taking this awesome monument to a whole new level. Must be incredible to see the visual effects that are created by the luminous fields.
