Photographing the Photographer
Forever Marilyn is a giant statue of Marilyn Monroe designed by Seward Johnson. It is basically a 3D representation of Marilyn from the 7 Year Itch movie with the skirt billowing due to the air from a manhole. Johnson reproduced the statue in much detail. The statue is located in Pioneer Court near the Tribune Building on the Magnificent Mile of Chicago, just south of the Chicago River.
The exhibit runs until this month but it probably will be extended because of its popularity.

I love marilyn and i have seen a similar statue in netherlands at madame tusso. But i love this one better

Oh and Olga, she is made out of stainless steel and aluminum.
It seems that whenever a new statue is put up in Chicago there is always some controversy around it. Certain groups always think it is unattractive or in this case inappropriate. Overall, however, I think that residents of Chicago are getting a kick out of Marilyn. You can always see people photographing themselves with her and generally admiring the statue.

That huge statue of Marilyn Monroe is still awesomely sexy, even if made out of cement and stone. Kudos to the artist who did such fantastic work! I wish I could go out there to grab a photo or two for myself

What better place than the windy city to place the Some Like It Hot statue that has really embodied the elements of what made so many people remember Marilyn as the icon she truly was.
