Diana Westwood

Diana is one of the living statues entertaining the crowd on Michigan Ave. this summer. She has several characters under her sleeve but she is seen most as this one – that someone on Flickr identified as “steampunk ringmaster.” I thought she is like Mary Poppins.

Great Pictures !
Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous. The black and white is beautiful.
I really like the reflections photo, and the black and white using the phone, it’s rare to see living statues acting ‘human’ so it makes a great subject. Perhaps you could shoot a series of human statues actually being human?
I also like the black and white photos. Great job
I Love her attitude!
I really like the black and white photos here. Really capture the costume and love how she is using a phone!
I now just tell people I am me in steampunk garb. I hear Mary Poppins or Willy Wonka quite often. The idea was to be circus-like, because my ex-boyfriend said street performance is like being a circus clown, and I decided to embrace the whole thing. There are other more symbolic reasons for the steampunk idea, but I won’t go into them here. Almost everything I do in regards to art is symbolic and ritualistic in some way.
