Congress Hotel Strike

I found these photos from my 2009 archives. They are of a photographer setting up on the corner of S. Michigan Ave. and Congress Parkway, across the Congress Hotel. By then, hotel workers were on strike for about six years. Now, the strike has turned into the longest-running strike in the US. Read more about it here.

It’s shameful.

    Maybe the photographers are acknowledge on that matter. I hope the government will give an immediate action on this matter.

    At least he could set up his equipment in peace and quiet without having to fear missing the strike…

    But it is a shame.
