Why do they paint the river green anyway?
Peter, it’s for the St. Patrick’s Day celebration, the patron saint of Ireland. Chicago is a huge Irish town.
Wow, so wonderful, thanks for photos.
green is the color of money
I just talked to a friend of mine that I have never celebrated St. Patrick’s day in my life. But I have to admit this looks pretty cool.
I wonder what would happend if you went swimming in it. Would you come out green? Or just frozen.
What is it that they put in the river to make it that green? I hope it isn’t toxic to the fish!
I am sure what they used for the water is non-toxic.
Although the green colored water reminded me more of an episode from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.
That’s cool but I wonder what did the y put to make it look green?
