Photographing in the cold

I would too, if my subject is something as magnificent as this:

The American Bald Eagle, the national bird and symbol of the United States of America

Don’t know if you saw it, but Channel 11 broadcast a great documentary on the Bald Eagles last week, following a few birds through an entire year. I didn’t catch the very beginning, so I don’t know where they were filming, but it was snowy, and on the Mississippi. Very cool.

Great job! The American bald eagle looks simply so majestic.
Swank: Yup I did. That’s why I decided to go. It was worth the trip. It wasn’t really that cold and there were enough birds (up to 20) in the location we were (Lock and Dam 14 in the Iowa side of the river). Apparently in the same site last year, there were over 200 of them.
