Traditional Jewish Christmas Dinner

Since Jews don’t normally celebrate Christmas, tradition in our sphere of friends (who are mostly Jewish) dictates that we go to a Chinese restaurant for Christmas dinner on December 25. And maybe a movie. Since Chinese don’t normally celebrate Christmas too, many Chinese restaurants (some even kosher) are open during Christmas Day. Somebody even wrote a beautiful song about it:

So yesterday, a bunch of us went to Chinatown to celebrate … and sure enough, it was packed with Jewish people.

And some were photographing and chimping (see the table at the back). Hooray for me.

  3. Wow, I never knew that Chinatown gets packed with Jewish people on Christmas. But now that I think about it, it definitely makes sense because all the other businesses are closed that day.
