99% vs 1%

A pedestrian trying to take a lot of pictures of a Porsche parked on a busy street in downtown Chicago.

Who says there is a recession going on?

Greetings from Finland. I first thought it was New York City… visited there last March btw :P Then read the descriptions. I wonder what’s the biggest difference between Chicago and NYC… maybe the yellow taxis ^^

  2. I think that if you have such a fancy car, you want to give it an interesting color so everyone will notice it. This guy basically highlighted his car.

  3. Kevin says:

I like the car but not the color. It’s cool but I don’t recomment driving it in the City. Too much risk from damage from roads or other drivers.

Yes, I know. A lot of Aussies are touring America (especially during the summer here) – because your dollar is stronger than the US dollar. Have many friends from there (Sydney and Melbourne) who suddenly decided to take a vacation here because it is relatively cheaper than before. Also, in the gallery where my works are exhibited, there are a bunch of Aussies coming in.

In my country, you don’t park a car like this on the street. Because if you did, it will be carnapped. :D

  6. This car is a 99% vehicle, the rich or 1% drive 300K dollar vehicles such as a RR or a Bentley, and a handful of other exotic cars you will never see in your lifetime.

  7. Its always the same , but if everyone had a porsche then they would be like fords, and a cayman is hardly an expensive car on a lease plan so its a little harsh to say he is the 1% but great photos and nice share .

Aren’t the poor only feel the recession and economy crisis? :$

Rich people will remain the same…that’s the bitter truth.

  9. i thinks it’s a ironic at busy city. nice photo…

I live in australia and so far our country has not been affected as severely as the rest of the world mainly because of our mining industry and our exports to China.

  12. Joseph says:

People’s destiny as not all the same, we can’t deny the fact that there is rich people.

  13. Just because there are still wealthy people around doesn’t necessarily mean there is no recession. Look at some of the poorest countries in the world and you’ll still find some obscenely wealthy individuals.

  14. Is like the Pareto Principle 1% of the population has 99% of wealth

  15. Eric says:

No matter what, there will always be rich people around. The real problem is when the prices are constantly going up while the salaries are kept to a minimum. This is the situation when the breaking point will occur. And it looks like it has started …

I don’t say there is a recession going on. The economy is growing. It is even adding jobs over the last year. Now there is a big problem with unemployment. We lost tons of jobs after the credit crisis and are adding jobs back very slowly.

And there are other problems with the economy. But the economy is actually doing amazingly well given what everyone thinks it is doing (recession/depression). There is mainly a job problem. And there is a problem with too much debt (person and government – businesses actually do not have this problem very much).
